Jessie Homer French Jessie Homer French (b. 1940, New York, New York) is a self-taught, self-proclaimed "regional narrative painter" based in Ojai, California. Her work explores archetypes of death, nature, and rural life. She has had solo exhibitions at Bergen Kunsthall, Norway; Massimo De Carlo, London; Various Small Fires, Los Angeles and Seoul; and Armory Center for the Arts, Pasadena. Her works are in the collections of the Dallas Museum of Art, Palm Springs Art Museum, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
