For the 2024 edition of Art Basel Hong Kong Various Small Fires is pleased to present new works by Diedrick Brackens, Antonius-Tín Bui, Alex Foxton, Jessie Homer French, Dew Kim, Dianna Molzan, A’Driane Nieves, Wendy Park, Lezley Saar, and Mark Yang. The presentation is united by appeals to the body - as representation, sensorial cues, or both as these artists are united in bringing an extraordinarily high level of craftsmanship to their practices in paint, textiles, cut paper, metal, and silicone. Alongside their shared commitments to craft, each artist also transgresses expectations of their media, pushing at its limits to innovate new approaches and forms.
