Various Small Fires presented work by two Los Angeles-based artists. Sew Hoy created functional sculptural pieces that serve dual purposes as both artworks and utilitarian objects. Nikravan's airbrush paintings use sophisticated optical techniques to create illusions of volume and texture on flat aluminum panels.
